Nakheel grows its Portfolio

Jumeirah Park Pavilion, a 1O,600-square-metre retail and dining facility, was recently launched

Nakheel has opened Jumeirah Park Pavilion, the first of five community retail malls at Nakheel developments across Dubai.
Jumeirah Park Pavilion – the first new project to be completed by Nakheel post- restructuring – is a 10,600- square-metre retail and din-ing facility. It has 28 shops and cafes including a Geant Easy supermarket. Such neighbourhood developments are just one element of Nakheel’s grow-tion professionals involved ing retail portfolio. The company is also building large-scale malls at Palm Jumeirah, Deira Islands and Jumeirah Village, and ex-panding Dragon Mart and Ibn Baftuta Mall.

The company has an- nounced plans to build a new residential complex as well with 130 apartments for lease on Palm Iumeirah. The developer has awarded a contract worth almost Dh75 million to UAE-based Trojan General Contracting to con-struct the 12-torey build-ing, which will be located on Palm Jumeirah’s central trunk, and directly linked to the upcoming Nakheel Mall via a pedestrian walkway. Construction is expected to begin before the end of the year and completed by mid-20l6.
